Choi has won The Players Championship, defeating David Toms with a par on the first playoff hole to cap a dramatic final day at TPC Sawgrass. Toms (70) drove into a divot on the final hole of regulation, then sank a 20-foot birdie putt to force a playoff. On the first playoff hole – at the par-3 17th – Toms three-putted from 22 feet while Choi two-putted from the back of the green.
